Growing up, I often felt different. I was someone who naturally reserved myself, stayed quiet, and held back parts of who I was. For a long time, I believed protecting myself meant keeping my light hidden. But as I entered college and continued navigating life as a student-athlete, I realized that the walls I built to protect myself were also preventing me from fully becoming who I was meant to be.

It wasn’t until I began therapy that I truly started to understand how much of myself I had been holding back because of the fear of being seen, judged, or misunderstood.

Through that healing process, I learned something important:

Your light was never something you needed to earn. It was something you were born with.

The purpose of Embrace Your Light is to encourage everyone to stop hiding the parts of themselves that make them unique. Your personality, your story, your dreams, your experiences, and even the things you once viewed as flaws are all pieces of what make you who you are.

This hoodie represents choosing authenticity over fear. Choosing courage over comfort. Choosing to step into the person you were always meant to become.
