The Respect Mental Health (The Original) tee is the first creation of Halle’s Eternal Grind—a design born from one of the most challenging seasons of my life and transformed into a message of hope, resilience, and purpose.

As a Division I women’s basketball player who had just transferred to a new university, I entered a season where I felt lost, isolated, and misunderstood. While I continued to show up on the court, I was quietly battling depression, anxiety, and grief off the court. I was navigating the pressure of being a student-athlete while trying to understand who I was beyond basketball.

During that season, I realized I needed something bigger than the game—something that gave me purpose, reminded me of my worth, and helped me continue moving forward. That purpose became creating a mental health brand dedicated to breaking the stigma and encouraging people to have honest conversations about what they are experiencing.

That is how Halle’s Eternal Grind was born.

The Respect Mental Health design became more than just a shirt. It became a reminder that behind every athlete, every achievement, and every smile is a person with a story. A reminder that mental health deserves the same attention, compassion, and respect as physical health.

The colors behind this original design carry special meaning. Orange has always been my favorite color, representing energy, brightness, and radiance. During one of the darkest chapters of my life, I wanted to create something that reflected the light I was searching for. The combination of orange, white, and black represents the balance between the struggles we face, the healing we pursue, and the hope we continue to carry.

I’ve never considered myself the most artistic person, but I believe some of the most meaningful creations come from the experiences that shape us. This design exists because of the battles I endured, the lessons I learned, and the belief that our hardest seasons can become the foundation for something beautiful.

Mental health impacts every person, every community, and every walk of life. Whether you are an athlete, student, professional, or someone simply trying to navigate life one day at a time, this shirt represents a commitment to choosing compassion over judgment and conversation over silence.
